Amber Peebles judges the best butterflies.
Students of Sandspit Rd School showed their support for Get Organised by making butterflies, judged by Amber Peebles and displayed in the local Waiuku Bank of New Zealand branch.
The Franklin County News were there to take in the action.
Sandspit Rd School had a visit from a beauty queen last week, and she was there to find the prettiest artwork the school had to offer.
Amber Peebles, former Miss World New Zealand and host of MTV's Full Tank visited the priamry school as part of her involvement in the Bank of New Zealand Get Organised Auckland giant garage sale.
A Handle With Care initiative, Get Organised Auckland aims to raise funds to stop domestic violence, through a massive garage sale.
Handle With Care's logo is a butterfly, so the students of Sandspit Rd School painted beautiful butterflies which have been displayed in the Waiuku branch of the BNZ.
BNZ Waiuku branch manager, Emily Brown, asked Amber to come out to the school to judge the butterflies and present prizes for the three best butterflies.
The winners were Tayler Newall, Brenna Jacob and Cody Lipscombe.
Amber, who grew up in Karaka, says she is supporting Get Organised Auckland becasue she thinks it is an amazing cause.
"Get Organised Auckland is getting behind the whole of Auckland, rather than just one small group. It is making people aware that domestic violence does go on and it shouldn't."
The garage sale will be held at the ASB showgrounds from November 17 to 19.
