Bank of New Zealand Get Organised Auckland is all about sharing and caring – culminating in a massive garage sale of donated items to be held at the Auckland Showgrounds on 17th – 19th November 2006.
It involves Aucklanders sharing those things at home or work that they don’t need any more and as a result providing a lot of caring.
Handle With Care
Bank of New Zealand Get Organised Auckland is a Handle with Care initiative with the overriding aim of reminding Aucklanders of the importance of caring for each other, our families and the people among whom we live.
‘I firmly believe that all deaths related to family violence could have been prevented. We all need reminding of the importance of caring for each other. Helping someone in need, waving to a neighbour, spending time with your family form the foundations of a healthy, caring society.’
Jane Drumm, Executive Director of Preventing Violence in the Home
'Violence in the home affects New Zealanders from all walks of life and it’s still a very taboo subject.'
Trelise Cooper
